I
am very pleased to inform you that our Board of Directors has
recently adopted new policy guidelines for GGRC. Written in
collaboration with some of our community partners, the policies
demonstrate our commitment to reinventing our local service system
and creating a future where all people with developmental
disabilities and their families will belong, contribute and thrive
in their home communities.
The
policies are broken down into five main areas: Living Services,
Individualized Services, Quality Service, Funding for Services and
Client Choice. In each area, the policies articulate our intention
to increase self-direction for our clients and families, accelerate
public policy through continuous improvement and efficiently manage
public funds. In addition, each policy area outlines specific
practices that further clarify our responsibilities in effectively
serving our community.
