Golden Gate Regional Center serves individuals with developmental disabilities and their families who reside in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin counties. In addition, we provide early intervention services to infants between birth and three years of age who are developmentally delayed or believed to be at high risk of having a developmental disability, and genetic counseling and testing for individuals at high risk of having a child with a disability.

Lanterman (Ongoing) Regional Center Services
For persons 3 years and older who have a developmental disability defined as intellectual
disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy or autism that originates before 18 years of age and
continues or can be expected to continue indefinitely and constitutes a substantial disability.
Also included are disabling conditions found to be closely related to intellectual disability or to
require treatment similar to that required for individuals with intellectual disability.
A child 3-5 years old may be eligible under Provisional Eligibility
if they have a disability that is not solely physical in nature and the child has significant
functional limitations in at least two areas of major life activity:
