Golden Gate Regional Center is governed ultimately by its eleven-member Board of Directors. Responsibility for the agency's regular operation, however, belongs to the Executive Director and the five department directors. These six individuals, along with the administrative assistant to the Executive Director, comprise GGRC's Management Advisory Committee, or MAC. The membership of both bodies (MAC and the Board), as well as other related information, can be found below.

Applying for Board Membership

The GGRC Board of Directors is currently accepting applications for membership. An applicant may be any of the following:

• An individual receiving GGRC services
• A parent or family member of an individual receiving GGRC services
• A member of the general public who works or resides in Marin, San Francisco or San Mateo county

To serve on the Board, a person must be willing to:

• Attend regular meetings
• Be an active member of at least one Board committee
• Complete a series of mandatory trainings
• Attend an annual retreat
