The Link of the Month for January 2024 is to Storytellers, a new blog on the State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD) website. The blog incorporates video, audio and text to allow individuals with developmental disabilities and their family members to give first-person perspectives on their own lives, journeys, joys and struggles.
 

Free Diaper Kits

The Link of the Month for December 2023 is to a KRON news story regarding free diaper kits being distributed at libraries in San Mateo County. Anyone interested in obtaining such kits should read the story find out the dates and locations of the distribution.
 

California APSE

The Link of the Month for November 2023 is to the website for California chapter of the Association of People Supporting Employment First, better known as California APSE. Founded in 2010, the chapter seeks to increase integrated employment for individuals with disabilities by way of advocacy and education.

MIND Institute

The Link of the Month for September 2023 is to the website for the MIND Institute at the University of California, Davis. (MIND is an acronym for Medical Investigation of Neurodevelopmental Disorders.) The institute is a collaborative research center dedicating to finding and developing treatments for autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
 

Make This a Summer of Safety

The Link of the Month for August 2023 is the Make This a Summer of Safety page on the Listos California website, which offers practical tips on how to safely navigate wildfires, smoke, extreme heat and power outages.
 

State Council on Developmental Disabilities

The Link of the Month for July 2023 is to the website for the State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD). The mission of the SCDD is to ensure that persons with developmental disabilities and their families receive the services and supports guaranteed to them under state and federal law.
